Summer is always fun with all the holidays and weekends that we get to spend outside having fun. I love the summer and I wish it lasted all year! A lot has happened since I last posted one of which is I was working at PMI last post, but wanted to go to Batman one afternoon so I quit and went to the movie... I'm just kidding I hated the job so much I lasted about two weeks! It was nothing like they had explained and just not the type of job I was looking for which means it was telemarketing not sales.
Anyway I'm back to the job hunt and finding that it is very tough right now to get a good job. Although I'm trying to find a job and life is increasingly stressful everyday without work Gentry and I are having a lot of fun this summer.
Here are some of the pictures from our 24th weekend!
On the 24th we went swimming with Gentry's family which is always fun because of the little kids. Here are some of the pictures from the 24th. We also went to the Orem Owlz game this weekend with some friends. We had a lot of fun at the game, but just out luck it started raining half way through the game. The funny thing we haven't had rain in over a month! Of course the day we were doing something it decided to rain. it was fun anyways and over all the weekend was GREAT!

The Last Tribute
A few months ago I posted "The Last Lecture" a lecture by a professor that was dying of pancreatic cancer. Well he died today and I wanted to leave this special about him and his family. I saw this while traveling to South Carolina a few months ago and it really changed the way I view life. I hope you enjoy it! You may want a box of tissues.

New Job
Well a lot has happened since I last posted. I have started a new job working as a business consultant in Lehi. The company is called PMI they seem to be a great company that cares about their employees. So far it I have been there just over a week and the learning curve is proving to be difficult. The company coaches people how to start their own Internet business or real estate investing business. The training is about 4 weeks long and is very intense, however they are teaching very valuable information that has already taught me a lot. During the first 4 weeks you have to get 3 sales to get onto a team and work with specific accounts. I have been trying to get onto the top account for the company and was told today by my boss that he will do his best to get me on that team. Like I said the job is difficult and not many people stick around it is very high stress sales. Anyway I know that many of you have been asking what we are doing so I hope this gives you some good info.
We don't have many plans for the summer other than a trip to New York in August to visit family. I hope the rest of the summer we can just hang out here at home and by the pool! Gentry and I are both done with schools for the summer and not looking forward to going back in August! I think the more I go to school the further I get from graduating... I'm not sure how it happens, but every time I go visit with my academic advisor he tells me I still have 2 years left. They have been telling me that for 2 years! When will it end...? Well thanks for reading we will post again soon!

The 4th Of July!

"Land of the Free, Home of the brave!" The 4th of July is one of the best holidays in my opinion. Every year it is a fun day we get to spend with family and celebrate out freedoms. Since getting married the holiday has changed a bit, but it is just as much fun. we start out with a breakfast with Gentry's family and then we usually have a fun day of swimming! This is always fun with the whole fam!
That evening like most of you we watch fireworks with all the little kids and every year which is always fun. Although I enjoy this day as time to spend with family it is much more than that. The 4th is a day when we celebrate the incredible freedoms that we have here on this land. The freedom to worship how we want, who we want or what we want. Right now it is a time to remember the troops that are in some cases sacrificing everything to protect the freedoms of people they have never met and never will. It is a time to stand proud of a successful country that provides so many blessings to its citizens and remember the great men and women that stood up for freedom at a time when they could have just as easily done nothing, but instead their courage forged a nation that would stand strong for it's people. There are so many things to be grateful for on the 4th of July. Here are a few things I'm grateful for this 4th of July...

Do you ever feel...

Do you ever feel like you are climbing mount Everest? Some days I feel like I'm just behind the eight ball and nothing is going my way. The last month or so has been difficult with everything going on and looking for a new job. I'll tell you what it's not fun looking for a job! I have been looking a lot lately and it seems like everyone is getting rid of people rather than hiring. What do you do about that..?
Since not working I have been spending a lot of time at home taking real estate classes and plan on starting in the fall. This should be good for me as I'm ready to work for myself rather than other people who really in the end don't care. It is always interesting to me that when times are hard you always have family to fall back on. I'm so grateful for a family that cares and is willing to help whenever they can. The mountain can be hard to climb without people around you to help, but it's usually worth it looking down on what you had to climb and how you got there. Life is interesting and there are always going to be speed bumps along the way. I guess that is how we learn and get stronger it is helpful to have a good companion in the seat next to you!
