Life

It is always interesting to me the trials that life can give you and even more so how you stand up to those trials when faced with them. I have found that in every trial there is opportunity to be found and growth to be had. How great is my life that I have a wonderful wife and companion that is always there for me no matter what happens. She is so amazing and makes me feel luck to have her everyday! I love her and can't wait to experience everything that life has to offer with her by my side.

Gentry I love you more than anything and I'm blessed to have you in my life! I LOVE YOU!

Ecuador

I'm back and alive I know Gentry was worried for awhile there that I wasn't going to come home from Ecuador, but after a few close calls I'm back. The trip was great and I think Gentry is happy she didn't go now that she has heard all the stories. We had a lot of fun visiting and traveling THE ENTIRE country. We spent a lot time in the car and it was fun to road trip through Ecuador. Anyway here are some pictures that's what you really want to see anyway!

Playoff Time

Well the Jazz are out for the season I was disappointed, but the game goes on so I have inluded a gadget to keep track of what is happening in the playoff's. It looks like there are going to be some great games in the next few weeks.

This will change your life. What an example.

Summer Vacations

Like most families we decided to take a vacation this summer... I guess were we are a little different, because we decided to take two vacations and the kicker is... we decided to go separately!
Ok let me explain a few months ago we started looking for airfare to Ecuador so I could go back to my mission. To make a long story short I found some GREAT prices, but Gentry didn't want to go so being the wonderful person that she is and knowing that I really wanted to go back she told me to go with my good friend Rob! He asked his wife if our trip would be ok and she said "YES" So we booked the tickets and Rob and I are headed to Ecuador for 10 days (May 2-12) Gentry is scared we are going to die down there since Ecuador is kind of at war with neighboring countries. Oh well that will make the trip that much more fun! I think the real reason she is nervous is while I'm gone we won't be able to talk by phone as often as when I'm usually out of town. When I get back I will post some pictures.

Now the other reason we are going separate this year is Gentry's family was headed to Florida a couple weeks ago and I was traveling for work during the same time so instead of sitting around waiting for her GREAT husband that she loves SOOOO MUCH she took advantage of a family trip to Florida! They had a lot of fun as you can see in the pictures below Gentry really enjoyed spending time with her parents and little sister Sayer for the week. Even with the fun filled vacation they had planned they still had time to visit one of my stores in Florida. I guess they were treated like celebrities as the manager called everyone she knew to tell them that Gentry and Chris' mother-in-law were in the store!!! They were so excited they stopped in to say Hi.
Gentry and Patti both said they could have spent all day in the store and just loved how they had designed it and decorated their store. Thanks Whimsodoodle for taking care of the family!
Well here are some pictures of Gentry's vacation to Florida! Enjoy!

April already!?

My oh my how the time is flying by! I can't believe it is already April! Gentry and I haven't been up to much over the last few weeks mostly school and work. Which by the way is getting very old very fast.
So what has happened over the last few week? nothing! Gentry is trying to finish up a few semesters at UVSC soon to be UVU so she can start teaching history to obnoxious high school students. I'm not sure what she is thinking... but I bet she has a lot of male students interested in history her first year. As for out life we are always trying to find fun things to do on the weekends or week days if we have time I guess that is the best part about no kids. We are free all the time to do whatever we want! Speaking of whatever freedom Gentry told me about a month ago that I could plan a trip to my old mission. Ecuador here I come!!! Sooo... I'm headed to Ecuador with my really good friend Rob. I'm excited to go back and find some of the people that I met and was able to get to know so well. I'm guessing it will be some what disappointing that some of the people I met will no longer be active, but all in all I think it will be a lot of fun visiting the country. We are planning on backpacking from Quito to the coast and then back up through the amazon jungle ending in Quito 9 days later. Gentry has been a little nervous about this trip since Ecuador, Columbia and Venezuela are all in the midst of a war, but oh well that just makes the trip more exciting... right?

Catch up with us later in the month I will post some pictures a work trip to the Carolina's next week. Ohhh the the life of a traveling salesman... it sure sounded like a lot of fun...

Time Flies!

I'm terrible at updating our blog I guess we just don't have anything that cool to write. As I mentioned in the previous post we went to Las Vegas for NASCAR the first weekend of the month and it was AWESOME!!! We went with some friends Todd and Chyna Cummings we had a lot of fun hanging out in Vegas.

So here is how it started...We got to Vegas Friday afternoon and found the condo that we had rented for the weekend. Check out the pictures of this million dollar condo! I don't think I have ever stayed in a place this nice it was incredible!

Friday night we went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and walked the strip for a few hours. We saw a few of the shows on the strip like Treasure Islands pirate show that sure has changed since I saw it last... It was spectacular I think you usually have to pay for a show that great. Just a tip I wouldn't take your kids to this new version of the pirate show it's a little mature for young ones!

Saturday Morning we left for pretty early and it took us forever to get to the motor speed way. Once we arrived I could tell we were in NASCAR land. It was so funny to see all the people dressed in their favorite racers attire and all the classic NASCAR junkies in the parking lot. We had so much fun that I think we will go next year! Wow I know we must be crazy, but we had a lot of fun watching the race and sadly we now watch them on TV when we get the chance.
Long story short we had a lot of fun just getting away for a weekend I guess that is one nice thing about not having kids yet it's easy to just get away.

Now we are back to the busy life of School and work and I'm hoping that I can post again soon. We don't have any fun vacations planned right now, but we will let you know what is going on in our lives.
